Oahu Basketball Referees Association to hold open house and first meeting

The Oahu Basketball Referees Association (OBRA) invites all officials who are interested in officiating high school basketball to an open house on Tuesday, October 16, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Moanalua High School athletic department, room 202.

Individuals with no experience or those who wish to officiate youth and intermediate leagues are also encouraged to attend.

The association is a nonprofit organization that officiates Oahu Interscholastic Association boys and girls basketball games. All members will attend mandatory sessions in rules, mechanics, and philosophy as well as on-court situations. For current OBRA members, the first general meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 23 at 7 p.m. at Moanalua High School.
