Vacancy: Head Coach Girls Basketball
Position Overview
Kahuku High & Intermediate School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Girls Basketball Head Coach who can lead with integrity, skill, and a commitment to the mission of Kahuku High & Intermediate School. The ideal candidate will foster a positive team culture, support studentathlete growth, and build strong connections with our school and community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Ensure full compliance with all state, league, and Hawaii Dept of Education policies, regulations, and procedures.
• Plan and deliver effective instruction related to the teaching and coaching of football.
• Manage program staffing, monitor student-athlete academic progress, and fulfill all supervisory responsibilities.
• Promote character development, relating to and communicating positively with student-athletes, and maintain a team environment that reflects the values of our school community.
• Displays leadership qualities. Build and sustain positive, productive relationships with students, families, faculty, and the larger community.
• Preventative procedures.
• Finance, equipment accountability, care of facilities.
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria:
• Hawaii resident
• Previous experience as a Hawaii high school varsity head coach
• College-level coaching experience
• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certification
• Demonstrates professionalism and ethical conduct
• Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills; able to work effectively with diverse groups of people
• Valid ID, Social Security Card, TB Clearance (If selected)
