Vacancy: Head Football Coach Position Overview Kahuku High & Intermediate School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Varsity Football Head Coach who can lead with integrity, skill, and a commitment to the mission of Kahuku High & Intermediate School. The ideal candidate will foster a positive team culture, support student-athlete growth, and build strong connections with our school and community. Duties and Responsibilities: • Ensure full compliance with all state, league, and Hawaii Dept of Education policies, regulations, and procedures.• Plan and deliver effective instruction related to the teaching and coaching of football. • Manage program staffing, monitor student-athlete academic progress, and fulfill all supervisory responsibilities. • Promote character development, relating to and communicating positively with studentathletes, and maintain a team environment that reflects the values of our school community. • Displays leadership qualities. Build and sustain positive, productive relationships with students, families, faculty, and the larger community. • Preventative procedures. • Finance, equipment accountability, care of facilities. Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria: • Hawaii resident • Previous experience as a Hawaii high school varsity head coach • College-level coaching experience • NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certification • Demonstrates professionalism and ethical conduct • Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills; able to work effectively with diverse groups of people • Valid ID, Social Security Card, TB Clearance (If selected) How to apply: • Email all the following materials: Resume; Writing prompt response (prompt below); Minimum two references. • No drop offs will be accepted. • Submission Deadline of all application materials: Dec 11, 2025, 5:00PM | HST • Applicants selected for the final stage will be interviewed on December 15, 2025 Describe your coaching philosophy and the type of team culture you strive to build, including how you intentionally shape that culture throughout the season on and off the field.
