Job Title: Head Coach- Varsity Girls Surfing
Duties and Responsibilities
● Organize and supervise Girls Surfing program
● Communicating with student athletes, parents/guardians, school administration
● Preventative procedures
● Finances, inventory of equipment, care of facilities
● Public relations
● Adherence to DOE/OIA policies
Qualifications
● College degree preferred
● Teaching experience preferred
● NFHS fundamentals of coaching certification
● Knowledge of the rules and regulations of High School Surfing
● Good communication skills, computer literacy, Google applications (mail, drive, sheets, meets, etc.)
● Knowledge of DOE/OIA policies
● Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification
● First Aid Certification
● Ocean Rescue Skills Training
● Ocean Safety Risk Management Training
● Ocean-Related Injury Prevention Training
● Training in Legal and Cultural Issues Related to Ocean Safety Management in Hawaiian Waters
● Near-Shore Waters Environmental Awareness Training
